Crunch Fitness - Toledo

Awesome gym. I'm not a member (yet) but I've been randomly going as a guest with a friend (member there) when my schedule has allowed it and the front desk personnel are very welcoming every time and the equipment, gym and overall space is very well maintained. This gym essentially has everything you need for a great resistance training workout or cardio workout. No pool or basketball courts but the very affordable membership price reflects that (low cost, very good for what you get here). Highly recommend and big applause for the staff here.

As I’ve been a member since 2022, started going heavily in July of 2023. I’ve come to love this gym and the workers. Everyone is very open to helping you if needed and very nice. Every time I’m there an employee is always cleaning and taking the trash out. The females locker room is always kept up and is very clean. Tiffany and Daelyn are my absolute favs!

I have been a member here for over a year and through that time I have watched this gym drastically go downhill. Equipment is always breaking and is being left for weeks at a time. The bathroom is never clean and there is always puddles of piss and water all over the floors. Now that I am finally leaving they have been giving me the run around to keep me from canceling my membership. This is my third day trying to cancel it. Today I called ahead to make sure I’d be able to come in and do it today and was told yes. When I got here I was told I would have to wait a half hour for the manager to do it, as she is sitting at the front desk on her computer. Absolutely horrible customer service. As I am writing this, the manager who knows I am waiting on her walked away and disappeared into the back. It is embarrassing the way they treat the people who workout here. Go somewhere else.

ALWAYS out of towels to clean machines as well as the spray . The women’s bathroom smells disgusting and IS disgusting !!! Once there was a toilet out of order for at least 3 days because it was full of feces!!!! Know one likes working out after someone has sweat all over equipment and unable to clean. My boyfriend says the men’s bathroom is no different, never has toilet paper, is disgusting , not clean. Also machines are constantly broke. When I tan I clean the beds BEFORE I tan for fear they don’t because of the usual condition of the gym and fear of getting ringworm . Someone is 100% not doing their job in this gym . Too bad but obvious they could care less about it. Not worth it anymore !

I have seen some mixed reviews about this place. I don't completely understand them. From my experience, which has been limited, the staff has been really good. Though I admit I haven't dealt with the personal trainers as of yet. I do really like the selection of equipment here. I see some people complaining about certain machines being down and not getting fixed. I have seen signs on the stairmaster but there are plenty and I have never had an issue getting one. Aside from that what can you do if you have to wait for parts? I wouldn't hold that against the gym. I've seen the same issue at any gym I have ever been to. I have seen equipment here I have never seen any place I've been. Machines I would use like Jacob's Ladder. I saw one review where someone was mad they were not told the date the yearly membership fee would come out. It ended up bouncing. I may be wrong here but if you sign a contract you should read it. Mine had all that stuff spelled out. Your own irresponsibility should not be held against someone else. Then I read a review about the manager being rude to someone because they took top long to rack weights. I imagine at gyms a lot of people don't like to clean up after themselves. Personally I clean up right after I use something. As I should. I don't see a reason to ding the gym for them trying to keep everything in order. I am just pointing out some bad reviews because I think they are ridiculous. You have to read a lot to get the whole picture. I see a lot of people whining about employee shortages. I worked all through Covid. We still deal with employee shortages. It may inconvenience to us but as long as the gym is trying we shouldn't completely hold that against them. I have not met the owner but I usually work out early. They do have a lot if equipment here so it is usually not to hard to find stuff. At least when I am there. A lot of squat racks and deadlift areas too. Which is uncommon at a lot of gyms. All in all I have been extremely satisfied here so far. If you are looking for a gym and you are in this area then this is a good place.

It's a nice gym with a lot of nice people that work there. However, myself and a lot of people are getting tired of showing up at 5am when they open to see a closed gym because no one showed up to open. Happened this morning (9-26-23). This is not the first time (or 2nd or 3rd) this has happened. I don't want to cancel my membership, but 5am is the only time I have to go workout. If there isn't any reliable staff or ownership then I believe a lot of us won't have a choice
